Following a tragic incident at a firecracker factory in Agra that claimed five lives, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has directed a CID investigation into the matter.

Expressing deep sadness, the CM announced a compensation of Rs 2.5 lakh for the families of the deceased.

She further stated her willingness to support an NIA probe if required and assured action against those responsible, including the police.
